Below are four lectures that cover the core concepts of clinical reasoning. Having a strong understanding of the mechanics of clinical reasoning is crucial to both improving our own clinical reasoning abilities and helping our colleagues and trainees improve their abilities.

This video introduces the concept of likelihood ratios, which clinicians use on a regular basis to estimate the strength of association between a clinical findings and a specific diagnosis (often without knowing they are using them).

This video discusses how we use thresholds to test and treat in clinical practice (similar to likelihood rations, clinicians use these regularly, perhaps without knowing they are doing so).
